I thought a lot about what the first article for June Chronicles would be and nothing seemed better than to tell you the essence of what this website is going to be.
First and foremost, June Chronicle is the start of making my dreams come true. I have always wanted to have my own business, I have started and left it behind more than once, but have never given up on the idea of being my own boss. And on the ‘whatever number it’s now’ try, June Chronicles was born.
I wanted to create a product that helps people in a way that I help myself. I’ve read quite an impressive (or not) number of self-help books, I’m passionate about psychology and love to seek ways to improve myself. However, what I have found in this process is that having a good life is not about what you might think it is, but what you want it to be.
I always wanted my own business not because I wanted to deal with the paperwork, the sleepless nights and I don’t even care about the appreciation or praise. I always wanted to be free. Free of a schedule, free of a boss, free of colleagues I have to be nice to but I secretly don’t like. I still have a job, but I’m working on not having one. Because winning at life is really about taking the next step towards what you want your life to be.
What do you need to do?
I don’t really know what you need to do, but I’m going to tell you what I am doing:
1. Figure out what I want
I want to make my own schedule, earn enough money to have a great life where I can travel whenever and wherever I want and buy anything I want. I want to wake up when I want and create my own schedule.
2. Figure out how I can do that
I always knew having my own business can help me do that, but all the previous experiences taught me not to dive head first into anything. Sure, it’s great to quit your job and start doing things on your own, but let’s get real. We leave in a world of bills and payments and it would be nice to have something to eat everyday right? In place of doing nothing or going all in (both of which were not options), I decided to use some of my free time and build a business that I believe in.
3. Start doing it
Do the research, put in the time, but, really, just start doing it. It took me about 4 months to launch the first book published by June Chronicles, 3 of which were just deciding what to do. No way! It’s better to learn along the way than sit and wait for everything to be perfect.
Well, that’s about it. Now, I hope June Chronicles can be your daily source of making your life better, the way you want it to be. Whether it’s relationship advice, resources to start your own business, tips on how to know yourself better or life stories that you can relate to (and much, much more), I hope you will find something useful. I promise a good read!
